About the role
As our Head of Nursing you'll take full responsibility for the effective operation and delivery of the nursing team and work in conjunction with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager to recruit and train the nursing staff. You'll take responsibility for ensuring nurses adhere to laws, and infection control plans are implemented and recorded. You'll attend management meetings to discuss the status of nurse staff and our residents. You're duties will also include things such as: supervising nurse staff, develop care plans for residents and completing compliance procedures
Here’s some other important things you need to know:
- Valid NMC Pin is essential for the role
- Previous working experience in a nursing home and leading a team of nurses is essential
- Share responsibility with Home Manager and Deputy for staff recruitment. induction, training, and appraisals.
- Collaborate with Home Manager and Deputy to ensure smooth unit operation and adherence to CQC standards.
- Monitor and support the delivery of high-quality care in line with CQC requirements.
- Ensure regular supervision and training for all nursing staff, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Work with Manager to maintain effective nurse rota and up-to-date care plans.
- Uphold nursing standards in line with best practices, corporate policies, and regulatory guidance.
